Pierre Peeters Gallery is delighted to announce that we are expanding. We are undertaking an off-site project space in the heart of the CBD within the premises of New Zealand's tallest office building, the Vero Centre, in February 2015.
We are excited about this new venture in the Vero Centre, which, since its completion in 2000 continues to be New Zealand's premier business address.
Located in a pivotal position on Auckland's most prestigious legal and financial street and within close proximity to the cultural institutions - the historic Kenneth Myers Centre, Gus Fisher Gallery and the busy inner city Auckland University Campus. The Vero Centre continues to attract many of New Zealand's most respected companies. The building, designed by PTW Architects (formerly Peddle Thorp & Walker), has won many awards for design excellence and energy efficiency and we are excited for our represented artists to be featured alongside the pre existing private collections showcased within the vast spaces.
'The lobby and associated areas of over 2,300m2 , 'showcase' New Zealand achievement in the visual arts.'[i]
We will be continuing our interest in presenting compelling contemporary art work in this new corporate environment with our cyclic monthly exhibition program to compliment our permanent Parnell gallery. We are launching the new space with an exhibition of Niki Hill and Anya Whitlock's work from 5th February - 5th March 2015.
